Hey hey everybody!
Well, due to this MASSIVE polar vortex and the single digit temperatures we’ve been experiencing here, we operated on a 2-hour delay today. This made classes a bit shorter, and I didn’t even get to see my 3rd block students. Nonetheless we powered forward with our instruction!
Today we had our first Text Tuesday of 2014! It was quite an article, but we tackled it by:
1) Inserting the readings into “Clear Communicator” folders
2) Using Expo Dry Erase markers to highlight/underline important information
After reading, students answered recall and analysis questions, wrapping everything up with a prediction-like synthesis.
